Umbria Museums Digital Edition 1.1

“Umbria Museums Digital Edition” is a project of the Umbria Region that aims at promoting the museums and the territory system through the use of innovative tools and especially mobile devices. The collection currently presents 12 cities of Umbria through their history, archaeology and art, as well as through their high quality and artistic craft productions and the food and wine products, all these elements have always represented the excellence of this region.
Umbria is where historic buildings, churches and monuments rise on vast stretches of vineyards and olive groves and where the landscape is marked by the man’s work and his industriousness. No other Italian region could provide any such persistence with respect to the relationship between village and territory, nature and art. In many cities of Umbria, various types of museums preserve and exhibit those things that time moves from their places of origin, providing citizens and tourists precious interpretations for the understanding of the territory and its historic events. Going to the discovery of Umbria with the Digital Edition is a journey through time which does not end within the four walls of a room but that affect all senses since the cultural heritage deserves to be seen, lived and tasted.
